Valentines

We found this year to have many Valentines to make. I made over 20 just for the wonderful Due Date Group for Nov. 2007 I am a part of. So lucky to have those mamas. In turn I got a great many. Some old school, some hand made, some with pictures, and even one with tea! hehehehe

My oldest daughter made many finger knit flowers. For a video on how to make them, look here: http://waldorftv.weebly.com/crafts.html
It is such a helpful site! We loved them because we got to use soft wool yarn, and dead tree sticks from our yard. The first one she finished was very timely as it went to an ill community friend on the other side of the country and was much loved. The thank you letter mentioned a pet cat now dragging said flower all over the apartment and sleeping with it. LOL This very much made us giggle.

My son being only 2 also helped make a lot of valentines for a co-op group of homeschoolers and all his friends at church. Though not hand made, he loved scribling on them, using stickers, and handing them out.

Though not everyone we care about got a valentine, we sure hope they all know we care. Next year we have to get started sooner! 🙂
