Science: Rainbows All Around

We know that light is made up all the colors and that when lucky we can see them all in the sky thanks to water refracting the light. It seems that they have been following my little family all over the place as of late, the above picture is one taken during my Hope Pixies birthday party last month. Never had any of us seen such colors in the sky like that. Not a rainbow, but certainly rainbow colors!

Then we happened to find these two rainbows over our home.

This begged a quick drive up the mountain to see it while racing the setting sun!

And a few pictures of the fun doing this. Can you see the color that my children noted shimmered gold?
