I was delighted to get to try out the Frixion Colors Erasable Markers set as markers can be such a nightmare our home with little ones. I can’t tell you how many times however I have thrown my hands up over markers on walls that I just threw them away. How do my ninja toddlers always find them? So when I learned about erasable markers, I had to try them and I am so glad I did!

The Frixion Color pack we received came with black, red, blue, green, orange, and pink. The caps are easy to take off but secure when on, the erasable tops have yet to come off on us and I am no sure they ever will. The top of the pen cap snaps on to the bottom of the markers making it easy to turn the marker and erase an error or create an artistic design.

One of the things kids love about markers is that they are easy and smooth to use and have great effect with little frustration, until that is they make an error. Some kind don’t mind the errors and they find ways to turn the mistakes into parts of their master pieces but other children are more picky. When it comes to children with certain learning challenges with fine motor skills markers can help keep their love of learning and creating intact while also helping them stay on track. So often schools will force kids to stick with one medium, like pencils, or crayons, and this can cause children with disabilities or even typical children frustration and can lead to further learning issues. Having markers available can help kids keep up or help them express themselves in a manner that keeps up with their interest! Not to mention markers are just such a fun medium to work with for kids and adults!

Having erasable markers is genius I think! All the ease and splendor of markers without the frustration of unfixables!

Great for Homeschooling and Homework!

So the first “test” of these markers of course was getting them into the hands of little ones. I took the opportunity to have the kids work on some hand writing and easy work to get their opinions!

Our 6 year old loved them right away and was very happy to find out she could erase mistakes! She is one of those kids who would just write over the mistake to correct it and go on her merry way. She is very wonderful at art and doesn’t let much get in her way but with easy mediums like paint and markers she really thrives and makes so many beautiful creations. I think erasable markers are wonderful for her homeschool work, she gets the bright colors and excitement while also getting the work done!

You can see she started to go fast and got messy! She slowed down, turned the marker over and simply erased one of the numbers to do again. I think it takes a little more down ward motion to erase than a pencil but she had no issues with it at all.

Our son loved the color options and the ability to just speed through a simple work sheet. He is a child that gets upset with errors and at first he wasn’t sure he even wanted to try markers on the page as he worried they would not erase well enough and that he would want a new page. I assured him it would be ok and even when he made an mistake, he learned I was right and it was ok, it erased smoothly and he couldn’t even tell after he fixed it that he had made a mistake at all. He loves these markers!

I got in on the fun as well and drew this up:

My cute little argument with Sprinter, the season when winter is in Spring! It can’t be spring with so many places still getting frigid temperatures in April! Eggs are going to soon be colored but in my mind they must all hold cold loving birds like penguins as only they would enjoy the weather in most places around here! I colored the eggs, quickly used the eraser end on a marker and erased the inside of one of the eggs an drew a penguin. I know, I am no artist but you get the idea right?

These Erasable Markers come in other colors as well. You can order packs or as individuals!

  1. These seem really neat. I need some of these in my home especially with me home schooling my daughter. She would have so much fun using these for art class. Thanks for sharing.

I love the these markers erase! My daughter is older but she loves to draw and struggles for media to use to color in her creations. One small slip of the hand and she’s ruined the picture. I will have to buy these for her.

Thank you for sharing, I haven’t heard of erasable markers before. I wouldn’t have ever thought that you could erase marker from paper. I remember those invisible markers while growing up.
