This is a very cool coloring book for kids that lets them color pages as they normally would but then adds another level of coloring fun with a cool app!
This is my son who used colored pencils to color the calculator page. There is a story of sorts in the coloring book that is not on the app! Can you see the scan code at the top right of the page. With certain devices you can scan that with and the page will come up on the device to color there as well. No longer are coloring pages just one use!
Our 4 year old daughter was thrilled to play with the plastic/rubber green crayon that came with the coloring book. It works wonderful on touch screens! She colored the same page in the app!
The app was a very quick download on my iPhone5 and didn’t take too long on the Kindle HDX. We could not though get the app to print as it should on either device. We will try again on the iPad though as the kids would love to print their art work.
In the above photo our 6 year old daughter is coloring on the Kindle. The app lets the kids use different textures, crayon, marker, paint brush with nice effect. The included crayon is not needed for the app and you can get the app free!
I personally love the recycling theme on some of the pages! The common objects in this coloring book are very relatable to the kids. The app lets them color and not make a mess! I think that is perfect for car trips and while waiting in offices and other places that kids tend to be given a screen to help with waiting. This is a great app for color practice for little ones.
