One of the things I think we should all be doing as parents is preserving as many memories as possible. I am saddened when thinking back to the stories my Grandfather would tell me that never got written down or saved any place. Memories fade and people pass on. It is such a gift to have memories saved.
SavingMemoriesForever.com is dedicated to helping families keep memories safe for us. You can sign up for a free account or a paid account and can use this service at the moment on both the iPhone and Android platforms. There is such sweet beauty in the service Saving Memories Forever is offering.
I signed up for a free account online and then on my Droid X phone downloaded the APP. The app when you get it set up is easy to use. In short, you can set up different people in your account to interview and the program has questions they can answer and you can save forever on their site. You can interview them in person, over the phone, or even when video chatting. These stories are saved to their site and others can listen to them too!

You can manage your account from this page. As you can see, my oldest daughter has two stories on the site now. Check out the price they have now for the premium service!
You don’t have to have everyone go to the site to hear the stories either. When you record your story on your cell phone there are options to post to facebook too. I really like that we can do that as I have a lot of people on my facebook account!
We hope to use skype soon to interview our family members down south. It would be such a gift to have these stories for myself and my family as time passes don’t you think?
