November 1st — NANOWRIMO!

NaNoWriMo!

Welcome to November. I adore this month!

NaNoWriMo is National Novel Writing Month. A months where thousands spend a month trying to write a novel. Some win, some don’t. Year after year I do it, and some years I have won, some I haven’t. Last year was a fail year so this one can’t be.

Your welcome to watch me loose my mind here as I try and extract something, anything, to put into a novel. It will not be good, or pretty, but a novel it will if I can manage it.

While this blog is mostly about crunchy parenting November will be about more. My family is my life and I mean that more than many who say it do think. So NaNo is a gift I give myself, a gift my family gives me, every November. Time for Mommy to write and explore and be more than Just Mommy for a month.

After so many years my amazing husband knows the deal. He gets home at 5pm, and we race out to a park, we try and hit a different one every evening. With the kids and him bundled they go play and I sit comfy in the van with a laptop and pound out my word count and race the sun down. Sometimes I make it, sometimes I don’t. Sometimes I get stuck looking at all the cute on the play ground and falling in love with my husband who is a great father and loves me dearly, clearly. November is known as the month of parks to my kids and they love it.

If your writing a novel this month, good luck! What an adventure, I hope you share it!

Day 1: Got my daily word count in!

The following photo is me in our van looking at the park we found. Dark at 6:30, thats about my cut off each day for park time as I can’t let them freeze, not that they would complain. LOL
