I am in love with novel. While my children are the most beautiful things I have ever helped to create, and while my marriage is the most beautiful relationship I have ever seen, I have to say this is the most beautiful story that I have ever written. It is mine, just mine. At least for now. I am so certain at this point that I will edit this draft, that I will polish it till it shines, and that I will share it with others then to help me see what I have missed. I do not think I want it published in the normal way, I have seen much talk about publishing on the NaNo forums and I do not get the feeling that is the right path for this piece. We shall see. One thing I know, it will be shared someday with whom ever wants to read it. I can only hope those spirits who found themselves as characters or inspirations in this story want to see what role they played.
So this is day 20, and I managed to write over 3,000 words in bliss. I am still up too late, still not feeling wonderful but I have my fire back and goodness I missed it the last few days it was gone!
One of my NaNo friends has managed to finish already! I am so happy for her. However all the others need to at least catch up to me! 🙂
I love writing, it’s very therapeutic for me. Someday I would love to be able to publish some of my work, but I know that it won’t happen in this chapter of my life. I admire you!
