I made this for our Memorial Day meal and it was wonderful, though I think I should have gone with the more traditional strawberries and not the cherries as it was very very sweet! I was sure to have the right amount of stripes but I think I missed a few stars but thankfully no one counted them!
I read two things on facebook today that I wanted to put some place safe so this is as good as any. I hope to read them again next year. We have a few people who are not supportive of the troops and it can be hard dealing with them. Today I got a reminder from those who posted things like this are all around and it was nice. I give my thanks to those who fight for freedom, they know best that freedom is not free!
