Day 149

Sugar Gliders shouldn’t be alone.

Many sugar glider mills and those that middle man for them will often tell customers all you need as an hour a day to play with them and they will not need any company. This however is tragically not true. These marsupial mammals are social animals, they are also nocturnal. So while you are sleeping they are up and alone and it is a very sad thing to see a glider alone. They can often show all kinds so issues because of it and it is known that they die sooner than the normal healthy social lifespan of around 15 years.

This is our Petal, alone… she lost her cage mate and while we tried to find the best situation for it, it was not working out as planned. But that will very soon change, though she does not know it yet.
