Day 151

The last few days I have been posting as I go photos, though I have a lot of back blogging to do to get those photos I too then up already. As of this posting I still have to back blog half of April and most all of May! How 365 Mamas do this everyday is beyond me! I will catch up! However not tonight.

Today was a full day, cleaning and playing and reading and taking pictures! I was trying to get my camera to shoot in raw and I still have not perfected it. It will be far less difficult when I do not have to hack my camera in order to so. LOL Alas, that will come next year for me. For now I will do the best I can with what I have and I will keep enjoying it. And who wouldn’t enjoy it will such adorable little ones to chase with the camera. I thought this photo was interesting as my smallest is the most happy baby ever but when I was trying to capture this shot she was just confused! I was posing them together and she didn’t know what to make of me being above her. What baby wants to lay on their backs when they are trying to card to work on taking steps? I was reminded to look at things as she might when trying to edit the ones I took. Sometimes I need these reminders. My storm baby, the one on top was just so interested to see if her baby sister would smile too. Her fingers in her mouth and her eyes bright. Fingers because I was asking her to do something but her smile showed she was happy to be in the moment at least. Mr Hansom had some great hair today and I loved this photo as he is master of silly faces! Wonderful big sister on the right of course trying to help keep the moment together and like me wondering if the next second we would be chasing a small person down for another photo. She loves being in front of the camera and liked this photo too.

So what to do with it? Make it a canvas of course…. I can’t believe I did that. I have no idea if it will come out well. I darn well know that parts are not in focus and who knows if my touch ups will be a disaster when blown up to 16 x 20. I however want to figure out if my camera can handle doing that and what better reason than a kid shot to give to DH for part of his fathers day gift? He has been wanting something large! I hope it comes out well. If not however, it was still fun chasing the kids around and trying to get them to sit still for a moment. They smile and in those moments life is pure joy. It is said that when you see a baby smile it releases a happy hormone, it helps make sure we meet the needs of the baby. I however rather think of it as magic, it feels magical. Who needs science? 🙂
