One of the fun parts of the holiday this year was seeing all the fun gifts my fellow back yard chicken keepers received! There were so many chicken, chick, and egg theme gifts that I had never expected! Having chickens as pets is so much fun and it goes far beyond just getting healthy and wonderful eggs that live great lives. Our chickens are free range and get cooped up at night to keep them safe from predators that tend to hunt in the dark. Our chickens are not filled with chemicals or unnecessarily medicated. Not everyone who has a back yard flock raises their chickens the same way of course, or for the same reason. Some how though we all end up being crazy chicken people and love our birds! Here are some of the great gifts many of us loved this year:
This is a very adorable hen for the kitchen to help with the measuring spoons. Around my kitchen it is so easy to lose the spoons in all the drawers. This way this would keep them neat and so easy to grab and use!
This chicken sign is just what my yard needs and I am so jealous I didn’t get one! We have a warning sign up for our little yappy dogs but really it is the hens that are more likely to greet you when you pull into the driveway and if your not used to that, it can catch you off guard. They just want treats!
I found myself lusting after chicken rain boots when other members of the forums started posting about their favorite ones!
These little chicken markers are great for games, for children counting, and planning out your chicken yard. Ok so mostly they are cute!
Chicken people love sharing our chicken love and why shouldn’t we? We have great pets who make great eggs! Car decals are fun!
Many of get socks for the holidays and we are thankful for them of course. Sometimes though we get very special socks we are adore. These we be that kind of fantastic sock gift for chicken lovers! I love that these socks have black silkies on them!
