Dear American Readers – What you can do during this shut down!

On this wonderful blog I try not to add too much political news as I know many have different opinions and you have a right to yours. That said though I am a military wife and I am reminded I have a right to my own opinion as well. No matter what our opinions might be during this hard time though there is something we can all be doing. Contact your Representative. It doesn’t take long and it isn’t hard. Call if you can or leave and e-mail or share your thoughts on their social networking pages!

CONTACT YOUR REPRESENTATIVE!

That link will help you find them and contact them and also see what they have been up to. Do you think they are part of the problem?

As for me, here is my two cents. I think this shut down is squarely on the shoulders of those who are having a temper tantrum over a president they don’t like that America re-elected and a Law passed years ago that they do not agree with. I do not think they should be holding our country hostage just because they didn’t get their way. Further, if they really thought Obamacare would fail then logically they would watch it do so and then say “I told you so” as they have in the past as fuel to try and win future elections. If it does fail they certain would win right? Only they know something they don’t want most people to know, that they don’t think it will fail, so their only choice is to try to stop it.

While the Affordable Care Act isn’t perfect, it is in my opinion better than the nothing we had before.  While some insurance companies and businesses are doing unethical things and trying to blame Obamacare for their harmful actions the educated people know better I think.

If you have a moment, you should watch this short video, it really explains why health care in America is a mess and maybe then you might be able to see why ACA is so needed.

His First 4 Sentences Are Interesting. The 5th Blew My Mind. And Made Me A Little Sick.

It is my opinion that it is only logical and moral to help those in need, specially the working poor. I hope I am raising my children to understand how important it is to serve others and help how ever they can. I think the ACA is a step in the right direction in helping the working poor. When we help others, help our planet, and try to live green we are in the end helping ourselves as well. As a society we need to do better. We need to not raise selfish kids who only care about themselves. We need to put people before profits and the planet as well. In this complicated web of life we need to watch out for one another.

Keep Safe
