3 of 500 Emotions – Blog Challenge

ab·hor·rent/abˈhôrənt/

Adjective:
Inspiring disgust and loathing; repugnant.

Apparently I am abhorrent! Or at least this is an emotion I seem to inspire in an inlaw that told my dear sister she does not wish to sit with my husband and I at the wedding in two weeks.

Why? What have we done? Simple truth is that we are rather strict. We do not put up with some family members drug issues or teen girls acting like they are…..  well nothing nice can be said there. Simply put, when I have seen questionable things I have mentioned it and behavior has been excused or defended. Once a very young teen posted a photo of her chatting with her boy friend with a bubble cloud above her head saying she loves…. (insert cuss word for male private parts) and this upset me as I was worried for the girl, and worried about her influence on my upcoming teen as well. Mentioning it though started world war 3. My family took some space from them and let things be. Others parent as they will and we parent as we must as well, this means blocking certain people online from the kids. This does not mean though we hate certain people just because we do not agree with them. Just because I will not let you drive my children around stoned does not mean I hate you, just means I do not trust you with them when your being stupid. Yes, I called you stupid, on my blog. I love you, but I do not always have to like your choices and so I will say so.

There is a time and place though and at a wedding is not it. Not a chance my husband or I would be so rude as to make a fuss and cause an issue at Sisters wedding. That is not ok. We are traveling 2,000 miles to see everyone, not for drama. Lets all have a nice, safe, sane, time ok!
