YES it is worth seeing Frozen 2 in theaters!

Frozen 2 — Anna and Elsa as kids with their Mom!

I was given seats to see Frozen 2 early in exchange for sharing my thoughts on it!

I have been asked if it is worth seeing Frozen 2 in theaters and I can solidly give you an answer to that, but perhaps it is personal? So lets go over reasons you might want to see Frozen 2! — More reviews on littlecrunchy.com

Is it worth seeing Frozen 2 in theaters? Did you like frozen 1?

Everything you loved about frozen 1 is packed into frozen 2! All the characters you loved plus more are in the new movie Frozen 2. Beloved Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf, Sven, are on another exciting adventure. Elsa hears a voice calling her. Do you here Frozen 2 calling you?

Do you love disney music?

One of the things most everyone loved about Frozen was the music! Most parents got to enjoy their little ones singing “Let it Go” for months, some of us have enjoyed it for years! Frozen 2 doesn’t lack for music. I think it has more songs in it than any other Disney princess movie actually! While getting to watch a sneak peek early preview of Frozen 2 I lost track of how many songs it had! I loved each and every song, as did my 12 year old daughter and 4 year old daughter.

Frozen 2 didn’t have a “Let it Go” type viral song that stuck out to me, or maybe too many were good? Maybe this is a good thing? Maybe one has to hear a song more than once to make it stick? I can’t wait to hear them all again! In any case, yes, the music alone makes it worth hearing Worth seeing Frozen 2 in the theater!

Do you think Grit is important? It is worth seeing Frozen 2!

I wanted to make this review without spoilers so I can’t explain just how this movie, in my opinion, demonstrates good grit. I will say there is grief in the Frozen 2 movie and there is moving forward while being weighed down by grief. Frozen 2 has all the feels! I heard some in the audience crying. My 12 year old needed a hug. My 4 year old was confused and chattery at this part trying to figure out what had just happened. Disney hit a home run with this life lesson in my opinion. “Do the next right thing!” and I think this will be another saying that sticks with our society much like “Just keep swimming” did from Little Nemo and “Let it Go” did from frozen. Yes, it is worth seeing Frozen 2 just for this I think, even if you don’t love all the other reasons!

Do you care about culture?

Disney does! Without bringing up the past, let’s just say that Disney is no stranger to cultural appropriation. In hopes of getting it right (this time) Disney signed a contract with Indigenous people before making Frozen II! This is no small thing and goodness I feel like I fell even more in love with the Frozen world after reading more about the Sámi culture and how they were included in Frozen 2. Their voice matters and I am glad they had a hand in helping Disney show us their world. I am so excited to see the Frozen 2 again after learning more about what went into making this movie all that it is. I think you will like it!

    • Oh wow! My 20 year old daughter was so so insistent that she get one of the preview tickets to go see it and then last minute she choose to let one of her younger sisters go instead so she could see the movie with her boyfriend! When I mentioned I only had a few tickets the kids were ready to battle for them! LOL The rest of the kids in the family will be seeing it this weekend and are so excited. The rest of us are trying not to spoil it for them! One thing for sure, kids growing up is HARD ON MOM. It never does get easier!

I really enjoyed the first Frozen and I’m looking forward to seeing Frozen 2. We are going for a movie night with a bunch of our friends and grandchildren. I like that they slip humour in the movie for the adults to catch.
