Easy Batty Halloween Craft

Items Needed:

Toilet paper rolls

Googly Eyes

Black Pain and Paint brushes

Black construction Paper

Glue

Scissors

First lay out what ever table coverage you normally use for messy crafts. Make sure the kids have play clothing on or smocks. Give them the black paint and the paint brushes to paint the TP rolls. Show them how to use fingers splayed in the tube to help control it and apply paint evenly. Help them not put too much paint on the tubes as these need to try quickly.

Put the paint and tubes to the side to dry. You can clean up this mess now while you wait on the drying time.

Have the kids cut out bat wings. They may need help coming up with a style for them. One piece of black construction paper can give at least 2 sets of wings. Have them cut out bat ears as well.

When the tubes are dry, glue the wings on the back, glue the eyes on, and glue the ears inside the tube. Ta-Da!

The kids love these and it is a sweet and easy Halloween craft to do with them.

We put them on our mantel and I took this photo. I didn’t think much of it till I went to post the photo and saw the spider on the under side of the mantel. Sneaky little things they are. -shiver- I am not going to look for him!

(I know, my Wordless Wednesday is never wordless! LOL)
