Why are they bulldozing this beautiful eco-friendly Home?

A man found himself feeling the need to build his own home. He had the ability, the talent, and an abundance of natural resources not to mention the private land his father owned and let him build on. It took him a year to do it, to make this beautiful home for himself, his wife, and baby.

Only the local town coucil doesn’t approve of it. They basically call it an eye soar. Though I can’t see how they think so. Taking a look at the google maps and the other homes around it, the difference seems like it might be that other homes are huge energy suckers that a cost a lot more than the 23K Charlie spent on his home. I would pay so much more for his home than it cost to make as it really is stunning and so lovely. It looks like a home out of a fairy tale in the woods.

The council has given the family 2 months to bulldose their beloved home. Is there anything that can save it? Maybe if enough of us share our love of the home or the outrage over the councils demand things will change. People have saved such homes before, maybe it can happen again! For that families sake I sure hope so!

I hope it remains for the sake of this is what that family wants. How sad they think it’s an eye sore. I do want to know, how do they cut the grass on the roof?

I agree with you! This house is unique and beautiful! I would live in it in a second! My prayers are with Charlie and his family!

It’s probably because the home isn’t the status quo. Or, the town truly worries about losing money if more people do this. Such a shame.
