Top children’s fancy dress party themes
As a mom, I want to do everything I can to make sure that my kids enjoy themselves, especially when they want parties. My second oldest child’s birthday is coming up, and I know exactly what to do: throw them an awesome fancy dress party! While it sounds easy, there’s a lot to organise, but I decided to go with a theme, as it’s easier to remember what costumes and food to get, but having thought about what theme he would like, I’ve realised there’s a lot to choose from.

There are some fancy dress themes that are just perfect for your kids’ birthdays, Christmases, Easter and even Halloween, where you can pick up a range of neat halloween costumes that boys and girls will go crazy for. There are some fancy dress party themes which are very popular with kids. Here are some of them:
·         Pirate theme – pirates are very popular right now, and with a pirate theme, as well as great costumes, you can also organise fun games. You could have your kids do a little treasure hunt with a reward at the end of it or play “walk the plank”.
·         Cowboys and Indians theme – another popular theme among small children, the kids will love dressing up wearing cute outfits and playing with toy guns, while the girls will enjoy dressing up in frilly dresses or as native Americans.
·         Fairy-tale theme –one for your daughters, they’ll enjoy dressing like queens, princesses and characters such as Rapunzel, but there’s no reason why the boys can’t join in as well.
·         Sports theme – if your kids are into sports such as soccer, football or basketball, they’ll love dressing up like their favourite stars. They could even play the sport of their choice while pretending to be their sporting heroes and once they’re done, they can settle down to eat.

There are many other interesting themes that you could use for your kids’ party like one based on a film such as Shrek or Star Wars or one relating to a specific country like France or Great Britain. Part of the fun of organising a kids’ fancy dress party is choosing a theme.
