My 13, 7, and 5 year old got together and asked to make their Daddy a birthday cake. I thought it was only right to let them try as they had asked and I knew it would mean a lot to my husband. He loves my cooking and baking but the kids showing how much they care is some how more special as soon they will grow up and out of the house and one never can tell what they will come up with these days.
One of the things they love doing these days is playing minecraft and they specially love when Daddy helps them. So I should not have been surprised when they made the cake below.
A green frosting hill, a blue gel frosting river, a lego block tree, orange and red jello make up a lava cavern. They even added a lego man and a horse as horses have been the newest minecraft addition this past week to the game. They love the horses. I admit, when I have played with them I have created a whole pen of ponies and now I am on the look out for donkeys!
My husband loved his cake and we both agree, our children are wonderful and we adore them. We are such a silly little crunchy geek family. Ok, so there are 6 of them, maybe our family is not so little! We are geektastic, this I know!
