Thankful Challenge – Day 14 – Medi Buddy Review

MEDIBUDDY_GRP_pp Today I am thankful for a company that makes ouchies all better.

me4kidz.com Makes Things Better

For 10 years now me3kidz has been making products to help people, specially kids. They strive to be a made in the USA company and employ the disabled because they care, and because they want to keep jobs in America. I love this about them and am very thankful for all their efforts.

I am so pleased to be reviewing for them because as a Mom I know just how many ouchies we deal with day to day. Medi Buddy is a First Aid Kit to go, it fit in baby bags, back packs, purses, the car, and really where ever your little ones are going to play. Perfect for travel.

(15) 3/4” X 3” assorted kid-friendly bandages
(1)   3” knee & elbow bandage
(5)   5” X 8” antiseptic wipes (sting free)
(4)   2” X 2” Gauze Pads (2-Two Packs)
(2)   Antibiotic Ointments
(12) Kid-Friendly Fun Stickers
(1)   Carry Anywhere Case.

Receintly we went on a trip out of state and I thought for sure we would need this kit, as it turned out, it was just for my peace of mind, but days later while at a playground back home our little one fell on rocks and her knee got bloody. I thought it was the end of the day of play for sure but as our daughter held the little kit open so I could treat her wound with the antibiotic ointment and applied the knee bandage I could see the sobbing had stopped. She picked out a fun sticker, helped me pack up the little kit, and off she went almost as if it hadn’t happened at all. I think we would have been on our way home that day had it not been for Medi Buddy saving the moment for our little girl. Our other children were thrilled with the outcome as well! We have other First Aid kits, you know the white ones with red plus signs on them? They are not very kid friendly I have to say, specially after having one of these.

Cool it Buddy – Instant cold pack for kids

We have also gotten to try the instant cold packs. They are sold on their site for $2.99 for a box with two instant ice packs. They are not the ones pictured to the right, the reusable soft cloth cold packs are what I would like to try next!

We did like the instant cold packs but I found myself wishing there was more to a box than just 2. They work just as they are supposed to and give instant cold for when bumps and hurts require that kind of treatment, such as when my son twisted his ankle while running to see what had crashed down on the house. It turned out to be just a tree branch in the wind but it had made us all jump and while it caused no damage, Mr. Handsome was left hobbling around for a while and it was a perfect time to try these out. The kids were really interested in it and I liked how it conformed to his foot to give the coldness needed to the right part unlike many ice packs that are frozen solid and have no give to them. This worked well. As we are not always out and about, having a reusable one at home I think would be great too, not to mention a green option!

Those are awesome! Compact to fit in car, purse, glovebox, backpack, diaper bag, etc..

    CUTE! 🙂

    And totally practical!

I keep a car first aid kit in the back of my car at all times but these would be great to be able to carry on me when hiking, etc.

    Great review!

What a great kit! Kid friendly, and totally adorable! I love having fun bandages for the kids. Dint tell anyone but wearing a fun character bandage as an adult makes me smile!
