My darling challenging 13 year old daughter is elbow deep in deep plum paint for her room. What a mess! We are trying to let her do it herself but soon I think the parentals will have to step in and help her out. She wants the currently white trim to be black and that will come last, specially as she keeps hitting it with the purple. What I thought would be a quick job has turned into a much longer project.
I keep sneaking up to check on how it is coming. I think she is going to need more paint! I am glad magic erasers work so well to get primer off the wood floors!
I will keep you updated. I need others to hold my hand while I let her do this. She is growing up. Where is my little girl that loved everything blues clues?
You are a brave mama! I don’t think I could stay out and not make suggestions. Good luck!
LOL I remember that age! I hope she likes it after it’s all painted 🙂
My mom let me redecorate my room at about that age, I hung Christmas tree lights around my bedroom door, zig-zagging across my ceiling and closet door, and all around the perimeter of my room. I stenciled song lyrics on the walls, and made massive collages of my favorite photos, written poems, and photos. I’ve always loved her just a little bit more for allowing me that creativity.
