Stage Your Home for Sale on a Budget

Getting the Most out of Staging Your Home

Time and again I hear about people who vow by the rules of staging homes. To me they just make sense! Of course I think the order of them is a bit different. I would sanitize and clean first, decluttering goes with this, then bring the home colors to a neutral pallet with pain, as that is one of the least costly changes for the biggest impact, and then remove the personalized touches so others could more easily see the home as their own and no longer mine.

  Color Matters!

Remember that while you might love the color bright yellow, not everyone does. If the home is already very large there is little reason to paint the whole thing sun shine yellow. This does not in fact counter the few rooms that have dark wood walls. Trust your Realtor when they tell you a shade of tan would be more more comforting and sell better! When looking to rent your property all these things also play into account! If your having a hard time finding renters, change things up and follow these rules!

When modernizing the home look I would also explore Moshells affordable home decor to find clean and solid looks that would flatter the space and move along nicely with us. Moving is a wonderful time to upgrade furniture and new furniture shows off a home beautifully! Good luck with your home adventures!

  2. those are great tips! We’re not in the market to stage our home, but I think they are still great decorating tips just to make your home look more put together!

  3. When it came to selling our home, I learned how to stage accidently by watching TV. Staging cam be so difficult when you have kids and pets but in the end it does pay off with a faster sale.

These are great tips. Selling our house was stressful especially with a toddler. But it’s all about appearance.
