Spring is Coming!

Spring is coming, though not yet here. It snowed a bit just last week. Mostly though here in Maryland we are getting rain. The birds though show us spring is coming and my children love the birds. Eagles have eggs in nests, owls too, and falcons as well. And we now have baby chicks in the brooder. Birds of all kinds are flocking and migrating in great beautiful numbers. We followed a flock of black birds a bit ago and the children kids loved watching how they move together so fluidly. Time spent just watching birds is a gift we give our children. A gift they might not get stuck in 4 walls behind desks.

We have not gotten out this winter though as much as I would like. My health is not well and it does limit us a bit though I try not to let it. As the weather gets better, I hope we get to have many adventures out in nature, at more museums and of course playing outside with friends.

Till the weather is better though, we will cuddle and read books, care for the chicks, and keep watching live cameras of raptor nests! We will plan the fun soon to come when things are warmer. We will keep working on spring cleaning like mother birds in nests. We will enjoy every day we have together.
