A season of hard times, but there is light!

A friend commented that my family seems to be in a season of hard times. The ups and downs seem add up to far too many to list. I guess the short of it would be that I have not seen my family in three years and though we expected the military to be moving us closer to home soon, it is actually moving us a little further then we are now. But at least there will not be another deployment to Iraq soon for wonder hubby. The other part is the military again messed up our pay and do to some unforseen issues, we will be missing a large part of his check for the next 6 months. Hard Hard Hard. We are trying hard to not let the children see how worried we have been and how stressed. There is light though, they are that light. They remind us each day why we fight so hard for this life, why I stay home to be with them and why Daddy risks so very much.

To share a smile I thought I would share this picture. This is what happens when you are at wits end, need a moment of quiet and tell your 8 year old she can play with the baby for a little bit!

what a beautiful picture. Isn’t the baby adoreable? I have a 3 year old, and she would like a grocery cart for her teddy, where did you find that one?
