It can sometimes take something very big in our lives to get us to look at the very small things. I think this tends to be the case for a lot of people when it comes to looking at what ingredients are used in our homes and on our bodies. This was the case for the creator and owner of My Real Earth, a natural luxury skin care line. When her husband got cancer she found she had to know about everything that was possibly not good for them in their home and lives. Through research and passion she learned a great deal and saw a need she needed to fill. So she brought My Real Earth to the world and shared what she learned and discovered and created with the those who also saw the need. I am really excited to bring you this review of My Real Earth brand and specially their Whipped Body Butter. Let me explain why:
The issue a lot of people are not aware of is that laws on the United States are very lax with skin care / cosmetics. There is actually no requirement for safety testing! We have chemicals that are allowed in our products here that are illegal in other nations. Chemicals like QUATERNIUM 15, SELENIUM SULFIDE, PHTHALATES, PETROLEUM DISTILLATE, PARABENS, TRICLOSAN, BHA and BHT are just a few to look out for. It can be a lot to keep up with and it is something we should really care about.
Generally a good site to check out the possible toxins for cosmetics and skin care is ewg.org but this brand is not yet on that site but I would bet it will be soon and I think from the ingredients that it will get good ratings!
I truly like this family owned business because not only do they believe in Organic/Environmentally safe ingredients, they also stand behind origins, and so they donate to cancer charities thus giving back to the community and those most in need. I have had jars of body butter from other companies that tend to be smaller than this, I have to say, I love the size!
The design and logo are really appealing to me as a Crunchy Mommy.
Such a satisfying feeling opening this up the first time. There is a thin cover under the lid that you have to peel up and when you do, you see how luscious and creamy and silky this body lotion is! Many body lotions are super thick and almost hard, but not this one!
It looks like something you would love to eat, and it smells like it too actually! This one is called Sweet Berry, and you really have to smell it for yourself to get an idea of how this chocolate and strawberry blend come together. Of course if you don’t want to smell like food all day, this might not be the scent for you. There are many other scents though!
This product works and I can’t recommend it enough! Smooth skin was achieved and I have very very dry skin normally!
