Organic Fabric crafted beautifully into children’s clothing and toys!

This post may sound like less of a review post and more like a post about love, be warned! This is what it looks like when a crunchy Mommy finds something she adores and makes her have hope for the world and the future of her children. There really are great people out there striving for the best and not settling for less. Melanie Romero-Guss owner of The Seeds of 3 is one of those people! 

I have even learned more about organic fabric because of Melanie. She wrote a blog post that really enlightens people about the facts like:

• Some organic labels only mandate as little as 5% organic fiber content, but GOTS insists on a minimum of 95% organic fibers grown using internationally recognized organic farming methods.
• GOTS goes beyond organic certification to ensure that once the fibers are harvested they are not soaked in toxic chemicals or harmful dyes.  They insist on the use of low impact, reactive dyes, which are eco-friendly, non-toxic, and require less water for processing.
• The GOTS label carries strict social criteria. This means no child labor, excessive working hours, discrimination, low wages, or inhumane working conditions are allowed.

In addition to sharing so much about GOTS she also let me pick out a beautiful dress for my daughters in exchange for my opinion on it and her shop. I am so impressed with the quality and with the personal care Melanie puts into her work and her wonderful customer service.

I picked out a size 6 thinking it would fit both my 6 year old daughter and chances are m 4 and half year old daughter. With dresses my younger seems to fit her older sisters dresses well. This was the same case! Getting my little one to sit still enough for a good photo though was difficult so you will have to take my word for it. My recommendation if you have any questions about sizes, just e-mail Melanie about it with measurements!

This is my lovely StormBaby, who is 6 and loves to play outside, be in the mud, the trees, with the animals. She is my little forest creature some days. She makes my heart sing and there isn’t anything I wouldn’t do for her. Of course I love it when I can put her in clothing she loves and that I can feel good about on so many levels. This dress does it all. It has gnomes and themes she relates to. The style is perfect for play, school, special events. It is very special!

While the fabric is drool worthy, it is also suitable for play, or rather hard work such as this photo with StormBaby who insisted on helping with the wood we picked up to make a chicken coop for our little chicks. This little girl does it all, as does her dress!

The prices are great for the quality and the space they are in. They are not big box store prices, but again, the price reflects all that this fabric is and does. If your looking for quality organic clothing, this is the shop to check out!
