A Little Pinterest Therapy

Do you love Pinterest?

Do you think it is possible for Pinterest to pull you out of a bad mood or help you turn around a bad day? I think it does! When I remember to take the time to explore pinterest and a few of my special boards I put together of things that are beautiful, that inspire, and make me smile, it can really help change my out look. Like many people these days, I have anxiety issues, and while all the kings horsemen and all the kings men couldn’t…. wait, that is not right. LOL What I meant to say is that while medication and councillors and coping tools are wonderful, there is a lot to be said for simply sitting down and thinking of all the beautiful things in life.

Visual Meditation?

Maybe pinterest therapy is a bit like visual meditation. It can take you away from the situation stressing you out and let you explore things that make you happy. One of the key things though about this kind of therapy is to make sure you don’t fill the board with DIY and things to do, unless that works for you. For most of us looking at a page of things one should/could do isn’t relaxing. Find images of things that don’t demand anything from you! This can be tricky so you might have to make a few boards to figure what helps relax you the most! Maybe make a board to motivate you that is separate from your stress free board!

I wanted to share one of my boards with you all, not sure if it will make you feel the same way as it does me but it might inspire or give some ideas!
