I found myself asked again what the one thing a new mother should get. A baby carrier of some kind!
Mothers have been keeping their little ones on them for a very very long time though it has not been the trend in this society for while, it is coming back! But how does one start? Is it even safe? I would love to tell you it is fail safe but like all good things, some things need to be taken into account. You can ride a bike, but don’t you need to learn how first? Here are some great tips, click to enlarge!
For newborns my favorite parenting wrap is a Moby, it can fit both Mom and Dad without having to move straps and buckles around. It is supportive and soft and just feels like a second skin keeping baby close. A ring sling is a great choice as well, specially after baby can hold their head up! After the baby is a toddler and a bit big for a moby moving on to a woven wrap is a great option. If you can’t tell I love the kind of carrier that lacks buckles and straps to change when switching from one parenting to another!
Baby wearing is considered by many to Crunchy. Are you crunchy?
