My little sister the beautiful wild pirate.
Being a big sister is hard.
– Little sister wanted to do everything I did.
– Having to watch her, change diapers, help with homework.
– Having to take her on dates with me!
– Having everyone enamored with the baby in the family.
– The list goes on and on.
Then we are grown.
– Little sister wants nothing to do with what I do.
– She hardly calls and wants to do everything on her own.
– She doesn’t want dating advice or any other for that matter.
– Having everyone enamored with the beauty of the young one.
– The list goes on and on.
Being the little sister however could be harder I see now.
– Older siblings being too busy to play.
– Older siblings treating you like a chore.
– People having expectations because the olders did things.
– Getting blamed for things one did not do.
– Older siblings leave home, and you are left alone with the parentals.
And then sisters get wiser. They miss each other. They see the other side a bit better.
And nothing else matters but wanting the other happy.
