NaNoWriMo Day 6: Word Count Finished.

Today was not a horrible day! My love, being the romantic he is made it as good as it could be. I spent a bit of time over on a Word War chat, you can find it here: http://tinychat.com/writewriteandwrite
I found the short 10 minute rounds the most helpful as with a family I can’t count on more than that without being interrupted.

NaNo for us is a month of Parks as I had mentioned before, but also of simple food. Tonight was pancakes. No one complained. LOL We managed to make it to one of the new parks we found but the sun was already going down.

We where not running late…. Damn Day lights saving time screwed my writing time! Every day at 5pm we would go out and find a new park so my husband and the kids could play and I could write my November Novel. I would have about an hour to an hour and half before the sun set and it got too cold for them to play. This worked so well in Arizona, and it dawned on me, Arizona does not follow day light saving time. -sigh- We might have to change this tradition to fit into my husbands work schedule. It will be sad if November Park month turns into November Movie month for the kids. Ideas?

When my oldest two kids were little I would take them to McDonald’s play land and study for Nursing School. It was sometimes noisy but mostly good textbook reading time for me. My 20 year old recently remarked how she loved doing that and how now she understood and wished they had a playland for dogs too!
