Nov 12th Holiday Hands

One of the things I love most about December is all the family crafting. One might think of metal jewelry stamping as something a women would do, or maybe that is just me who thinks so because those I know who do stamp are girls. However there is just something that yells “husband” to me when it comes to hard metal and mallet. DH and I discovered that both he and I alone have our issues with stamping metal on our own. He hits to much to the bottom of the stamp leaving the top half hardly impressed at all. I don’t hit hard enough and so my stamp jumps on me and I end up having a smudged impression that is unusable. And silver my dears is $$$!
We however figured out that if he holds the metal stamps firmly and I hit it over and over evenly, that it comes out perfectly! Course some day you know I am going to miss with the mallet and get his hands but thats what one risks for love! :  = )

This is Hotty Husband doing some crafting work on the bracelet for my mom, with all her grand babies initials on it:

It is so delicate and dainty that watching him work on it some makes me adore him all the more!
I love December. I love holiday hands making things from the heart. Shopping therapy is fun, but some how handwork feeds the soul.

Hope pixie being the 12 year old she is hardly sits still unless she is making something. She finished up a crocheted hat for one of her sisters last night and even wrapped it up beautifully. I am so proud of her. I will post it after the holidays on said sisters little head of course.

What are you making this December? (Hopefully not debt!)
