NaNoWriMo means a lot of things to a lot of people. Almost 300,000 people are writing crazy novels this month and for most of them that means coffee shops, dark rooms, too much caffeine, and not seeing the sun much! For a few of us though that are parents, it means as many park days as we can fit in! In years past my family would rush out the door soon as Daddy got home to find as many parks as we could find. The kids and Daddy would play and I would sit and type rushing the sun down and then some. The last few years though we have not been able to get out much as work would go longer most days and it would leave near no time for playing and typing with any light. So we are using our weekends to find new parks near and far to have fun at. I am finding that I type on the way to the park and on the way home and spend most of my time playing with my family.
Fresh air does a writer good!
My real life fairy tale with my little princess Mr. Handsome and my little Stormbaby Princess!
Oh the places she will go!
My husband is amazing! Our baby kept tossing her hat in all sorts of places so he put it on his own head with the idea that what we have as parents our children always seem to want! Of course it didn’t work in this case as she loved seeing the pink fluffy hat on him. He made a lot of other parents laugh too and it was great to see!
Annie’s playground memorial in Fallston MD
“Annie’s Playground is a beautiful playground located
in Fallston, Maryland. But it is not just a playground. It is
a loving tribute to a little girl who tragically died and to all
children who have left us too soon. It was born
out of a vibrant community’s heart to turn this devastation
into a life-giving memorial.”
