I Finished NaNoWriMo This Year

I can hardly believe it is the 3rd of December and I am posting about this only now. Chances are if you know me, you know I finished NaNoWriMo and I won this year! So many people won this year and like years past, so many more didn’t. They though, those mighty many, at least tried! Failing one year just means they have a better chance of not failing in future years as they are getting practice and experience in the insane challenge that is writing 50,000 words in a month.

I seriously didn’t think I was going to manage and what a hot mess I have been between traveling, being sick, having sick littles, and this being the busy time of year for work. I can’t say I have juggled all this well, but I finished! Time to celebrate! So when I am asked, what now, that is my advice. Celebrate! Catch up on things that you have not focused on this past month, go and be social with your non-writing friends! Thank your loved ones for putting up with you! Even if your story is not at it’s end, like mine, still take a break!

My Plan

Unlike years past when I write a NaNoWriMo novel, this year I will edit it! Yes, I have said this before, this year is different as I have promised a loved one that they could help me edit the mess that it is. Soon as I catch up on work I will be back to finishing the story and then in the new year I will edit and join others on the forums to try and craft the beautiful chaos of a NaNo Pants novel into something worthy of taking up a few hours of someones time.

Lets meet up!
