The day was hard. I managed word count thankfully but not much more. I am still joyed to not be behind. I have never had a month go so well. It is exciting. I have a passion for writing, but my other passions like Mothering have priority. I thought though that it is not so much mothering that keeps me from writing. I think it is more so believing that to write well one needs to dedicate copious amounts of time to doing so, and the education in such a craft. Of course the real worry is about failing. Time to be brave.
NaNoWriMo is such a gift.
I made my donation to them yesterday and it made me smile. Those that run it have done such a great job and I am very thankful. I hope to be writing all my life but if nothing else I hope to keep doing NaNo till my dying year. (hopefully very very old. My Meme is 94!)
