NaNoWriMo — Day 21

Day 21 found me living off of the bliss from the 4k I had written the day before. Life though crept in and distracted though, mostly holiday planning and the trip we are going on later in the week. I also spent a lot of time just thinking about people I love, people no longer earth bound, people far away, and people I get to hug and cuddle every day to my delight.

The house is in fairly good order, bags are slowly getting packed, and there is a buzz of activity. All the while I am trying to write, trying to smoothly run our homeschool, and keep the children clean. I spent and hour today just getting the shampoo out of the hair of a little 4 year old who put too much in and then decided there was no way she was going to let anyone wash it all out as she had gotten some on her eyes already. What an adventure that was and I think it took every drop of my creative and peaceful parenting skills.

So I didn’t fly over my word count. But I am not behind and so I am still happy at the end of the day.

I love November. I love the chaos of it even. I often dream of the day when I will be able to write with no little people distracting me. However I think life will be too boring then, so this is me enjoying the insanity of writing while being homeschool Mommy to 4.
