NaBloPoMo Day 9 – Baby Kills Another One

Dear Baby,

You are 2.5 years old and goodness are you a handful. I adore you. You fill me with wonder every single day with how smart and strong you are. Today though, you near broke your Mommy’s dear heart when you threw your fully sippy cup over my shoulder and onto my open and waiting emergency laptop. You see I needed this cheap on to replace my good one when your oldest sister spilled milk into it last month. This one was to get me till after the holiday season because goodness knows all resources this time of year go to you little people. Only your sippy cup, thanks in part to your strong little arms hit the laptop just right, didn’t leave a mark on the outside but busted the hard drive on the inside. That is talented. As I had shopped at Walmart for the first time in years for the emergency laptop, it being the only place open at the time of night I needed it, it can not be returned a bit over 20 days later as they have a return policy of a crappy 15 days. Not that it is their fault you did this, but alas I am spoiled on Best Buy who for the second time in a month let us return an iPad as you busted them.

Next emergency computer will be gotten through them, but this does not give you permission to kill it too! Some how you manage to spell words on the iPad, know all your letters and letter sounds, and are starting to add. your not even 3 yet! We love how smart you are, we love that you can use the iPad better than any of us even. We love that you call your Daddy on skype by yourself. We giggle when you touch the TV and get all confused as to why it will not do what ever it is you are wanting it to. We like that you can get up in the middle of the night and use netflix on your Wii to navigate to a favorite show to watch even. However you need to be kinder to all the tech in the house you so much love. Mommy needs her laptop to blog, review things, edit photos, keep up with life online, and right now, do NaNoWriMo. Mommy missed a whole days writing already because of this mishap. She went from being able to type 900 words in 15 minutes to 400 words in an HOUR pecking on the iPad.

Thankfully we think we got the perfect iPad case to protect it from you but I am not holding my breath as you are a very smart little monkey. By the way, climbing your brother bunk was not our idea of funny, though you thought so. We removed the stairs to it, we thought this was funny, at least until we saw you use your wheely mouse to climb on a dresser and then climb on your brothers bunk. Now that the room is moved around we wait for your next trick that will I am sure scare the heck out of us. Please baby, try to help Mommy and Daddy keep our sanity a little while longer!  Daddy and I joke all the time, the level of cuteness is equal to the level of trouble. You are super super cute little one, and so much trouble these days. LOL  We do not love you any less for it, I promise. You keep us on our toes and that is part of your job too. We do however need to survive the next few months so stop breaking things and getting into places you don’t belong yet.

Love you so much,

Mommy

You’re little one sounds a lot like mine. We have nicknamed our little man Dennis the Menace…trouble just seems to find him.
