NaBloPoMo Day 3 – Change the Mood

One the secrets I have for NaNoWriMo and that I need to put into my NaBloPoMo is that of Music. Music can change the mood of a person, a house hold, very quickly I have noticed. Often it is used in my home as motivation for cleaning, for bringing fun into the house, for setting a calm mood. A day started with song and dance can set the right stage for the rest of a nice day, or so says the homeschool mommy in me that enjoys circle time with the kids.

Music can help with writing, be it a sad story, a romantic scene, or scary run for your life moment. So too I suspect can music help with setting a tone for a blog post. Some days we all need a little help right?

I made word count today, passed the 6k mark actually. Tomorrow I am going to a write in and a talk with 4 published romance writers. I am not into romance so much but I need help setting the stage for romantic tension and those ladies are perfect for such help in my thinking. Plus, they are doing word sprints, and I love that kind of challenge. I am screwed though if anyone wants to read what I wrote because as I pointed out on my person facebook wall today, I am told I speak to fast, I type very fast as well and I think very quickly too, sadly this often makes me look like an ass though because very often my fingers and brain don’t agree with one another. I will think the word “tomorrow” and my fingers will some how type out “together” and I will miss the error all together, as will spell check. I am worse than auto correct I swear it. So reading something typed so fast and not edited is asking for a headache and for me to have a very red face! Might be good for a laugh though!
