Movie Review — BRAVE

Tonight was a wonderful night in part because of a wonderful mother that watched a few of my littles for us and a great deal in part because of the new Disney Pixar movie BRAVE! It was wonderful, as in full of wonder. If you read my blog often you know that I do not like to give away plot points in my reviews so unlike many other reviews I will not give you a summery of this movie. I will say that the plot has levels that dance so wonderfully together and yet keep a touch of mystery to them. The heart of the story is a family one and based around a very important relationship and one close to my heart. I loved this movie, and I know we will own it as soon as it comes out on 3D Blue Ray.
My 12 year old loved this movie as well and is already making plans to be Merida, we know we can get her hair to look that wild with some work. Getting it that color might be tricky but of course the challenge is fun and we will work on it well ahead of time. I want you to know that my daughter is soon 13 and I want you to know this to show how wonderful this movie is. She talked about it the whole way home and was comparing her life and goals and we talked a lot about her fate and how as parents we are not getting in her way but wish to only make sure she is ready to take care of herself and help her reach the goals she sets for herself. The topic of growing up is not a comfortable one for her it seems, she loves her life as it is. I do not blame her, no rush.
My wonder Hubby really enjoyed the movie and was actually the first one to say that we will have to buy it. He and our daughters talked a lot about the funny parts, and there are lots of funny parts. Our 4 year old really enjoyed the movie as well. Nothing scared her in it. I expect to see the movie being played out with toys for a long time. She is love with the horse!
This movie is not girly and would be perfect for boys as well if this was a worry to anyone.
All this to say, go see this movie!
P.S. I am not to be held responsible for any naked butts in the house after the viewing of this movie. LOL
