So having figured it out I thought I would post photos as to how I did it, a little walk through on canceling the mistake called Sears ShipVantage.
Update: You can not cancel from kmart.com even if you purchased the free trial there, you need to go to sears.com!
1. Go to sears.com and then log into your account and then click on the upper right tab My Profile.
2. Click on the “About Me” near the middle of the page and then on the “Clubs” link.
3. On the bottom right of the screen is ShipVantage and under that is the option to cancel.
4. This is what it will say:
5. And hopefully then it will say it was canceled and hopefully you will get the confirmation e-mail.
Because so many people have said this service is set up in a way to scam people and many people report being charged after canceling I would suggest getting screen shots of confirmation and saving the e-mail incase you have to battle this.
I wish I didn’t have to post something like this but I just spent too long figuring it out that I wanted to do something to maybe save others some time. Sadly I am betting if they took the time to google this issue, that they will have already spent a lot of time getting the run around from sears.com and the live help.
I am wishing you all happy holidays with as few consumerist issues as possible.

Thanks a lot! A heads up for people who are trying to cancel a Shipvantage trial they obtained from Kmart: You can’t cancel it from their website (for whatever reason). You have to go to sears.com to cancel, no matter where you got the trial from

I thnk I love you, thanks for the step by step. I’m tired of sneaky shit like this, I never even signed up to begin with, haven’t been on the Sears website in nearly a year but I am suddenly signed up for some free trial and it’s about to renew. Guess who just lost a loyal (in store) customer?

I would like to point out, however, it no longer says shipvantage, it now says shop your way max. Just one more way for them to confuse you into thinking that’s not the right thing! Bastards!!

UPDATE THE ORIGINAL INFO
They’ve changed how you cancel MAX REWARDS. And still, if you call the 800 number they tell you to, those people say, “No, we can’t cancel it, you have to do it on the website.” TWO THINGS… first, log in with Internet Explorer – couldn’t do it with Chrome. Log in at Sears.com, then go to your profile, then click on CHECK MEMBERSHIP STATUS at the bottom right of the page, which will take you to your membership page, and then you can cancel. It’s so stupid.
SORRY! I don’t know how to edit that posting I just made. That link I posted will take you to MY sears.com account. Just go to your Profile (on Internet Explorer) find “CHECK MEMBERSHIP STATUS” and then cancel.
Thank you so much for that information! I had been searching relentlessly on the Kmart website to cancel and never would have thought to go to Sears. I called the customer service # 5 minutes after I was forced to sign up and they said it had to be cancelled online and NEVER said it was to be done on Sears. I was basically forced to sign up as I was on my iPad and you could not close the window or get it out of your way to shop. WHAT A SCAM!!! Thank you again, you have saved many people a lot of grief and aggravation.
January 2015 – Thanks for your posting. I just canceled my Shop Your Way Subscription online. The sears.com website has changed slightly, when you log in on sears.com, place your cursor on your name, next to , “Hi”, there will be a popup menu and select, “Your Profile”, I had to sign in again, then, “Overview” will be underlined but you should select , “Manage my Account”, on the right side of the screen in the 3rd box down, you will see your membership status and a Cancel button, it will ask if you are sure and we hate to lose you blah blah blah but just click Cancel. After you cancel your Shop Your subscription, the button will now say “Join Now”. I hope this helps.
I thank everybody thats posted above. I’ve been calling Shop Your Way, Sears and Kmart with no results. I even logged into shopyourway.com and tried to cancel. Finally, a quick google search led me here and voila! Cancelled. What’s worst is that I cancelled the renewal immediately upon signing up and they pretend it never happened.
