Homeschooling Confidence – She is Doing Amazing!

I will admit it, sometimes over the years I have had doubt that I was fully able to homeschool our children and provide everything they need for their education. After 8 years of homeschooling though I am getting a bit of validation because our only homeschooled daughter is now is a private online highschool and she is doing amazing!

She has in the past tested a bit behind in grade level on a few subjects and ahead in others. This is common for homeschoolers as they are often able to follow their bliss and really get into subjects they enjoy. We have tried hard to not push in subjects that created conflict. With that said, our oldest daughter was a late reader and like many parents, we worried a bit. I am glad though in the end that we didn’t push too hard as she is thriving and doing so well.

So far in her first 3 weeks of school she has had over 20 assignments and tests and has gotten 100 on all of then except for two 99 and one 92. I will not say the case load is easy but she is working hard on handling it all and trying to also have a social life. She loves school and talks about it all the time and is so happy to be a homeschooler. She loves it when she tells public schooled friends about her school and they wish they could go too. She says she wishes all kids could have the same opportunity as she does.

She has trained teachers that are impressed with her work and creativity and I have a bit of validation that I didn’t mess her education up all these years. Please don’t think I have worried this whole time, I haven’t. But as I said, doubt creeps in specially when one has gone through as many curriculums as we have trying to find just the right ones to fit each of our children’s different learning styles and interests.

If your thinking about homeschooling and have a 6th – 12th grade student and want the experts to help you might want to check out Wilostar3D. It isn’t as pricey as private school. Of course if you want to homeschool your child yourself just know that chances are you can and that doubt is natural.

As for me, I am glad to have this school educating our oldest daughter and I feel confident with them so far. This gives me more time to homeschool our younger children and I really hope this school is still around by the time they reach highschool as well as I think this is a great fit for our family.
