Being sick is the worst. Last week I came down with the flu and had to stay home from work. I was glad I had direct.TV to keep my mind occupied . I was so sick that I couldn’t even get out of bed. My wife would fix me breakfast in the morning and make sure I had the TV remote before she left for work. I love watching shows on National Geographic, Discovery Channel and the Travel Channel. I am always interested to learn about different cultures around the world and how these people live. Here in America, so many people, myself included live such sheltered lives and take for granted the luxuries that we do have. I also enjoy watching the shows where the hosts travel to different parts of the world and try different kinds of food. I don’t think I have the stomach to try some of the things they do. I guess their courage and willingness to try seemingly strange things is one of the reasons they get paid the big bucks.
