This past year has been a challenge for so many, horror and sorrow vibrate through our society right now. We need to make room to celebrate though, to have hope, to play.

How did you do on your 2012 resolutions? I know many people have given them up, I on the other hand even when I fail to complete them like them. I like setting goals and like the challenge. One of my goals this past year was to simply not diet. Simple my not tiny behind! It was hard to not diet. If you have tried this you would know.

So for 2013, I am going gluten free! I managed most of my resolutions last year, so I hope this year! It was hard, I admit, but most things worth doing are hard right?

I also plan to do something I did in 2011, a photo a day! I didn’t really manage it towards the end of the year so I have a goal to do better this year. As for blogging, you will find me hear near every day of the year as I love learning and I learn so much from my readers both here and on my social networks that grew so much this past year. This went from a fairly personal blog or a much more public one in 2012 and I think you to everyone who has been here for all the changes and the learning curves!

I hope this new year bring so my community a sense of safety, both fiscally and physically. I hope that our too often divided country walks more closely together remembering that none of us are alone and we all have the same needs in the end. I hope that we move from a selfish mindset of thinking about just personal rights to the rights of each other and our planet.

I wonder what new and wonderful green products will come out? I wonder how things will change in the health world. I wonder what ways my family can find to be more green!

Maybe this year I will find some better relief from fibromyalgia even. A girl has to dream. One thing I know, I have an amazing husband and this year will mark our 15 year anniversary. I am very lucky. We have 4 healthy amazing children and 2 beautiful and smart surrogate daughters we are all so proud of for all their good deeds and sweetness. We are very lucky indeed.

I am reminded that I can always be wrong. I am excited about all the new things I might learn!

Wishing you a very Happy New Year and Wishing you all the best!
