This year I am going to be prepared for the Holiday Gift Giving Season!

With 7 children to shop for plus family and friends you might imagine things can get rather chaotic at times and each year lists are imperative. My husband and I were out shopping last night and I was determined to stock up on wrapping paper and tape and the all essential batteries. We went with the Energizer® EcoAdvanced™ Batteries because they are the world’s first AA battery made with 4% recycled batteries and actually last the longest too. The wrapping paper was a mix of character ones and the more costly sparkle ones with stripes that will work for just about anyone. I think it is just easier to wrap when using good paper and when I have this many gifts to wrap it matters. Honestly though the character papers don’t tend to be that great quality but this year we are doing one kind of paper per child as an added organizing tool and they love their characters.

Because the paper is so busy and fantastic I am not even going to bother with ribbon and bows. Just going to wrap them and label them and be done! I know that is sacrilege to some but I think it will be perfect for us!

The batteries I got we found at Target in two spots, one in the back near the electronics and the other spot was near the registers tucked next to the card games.

The bulk of my battery stock up so far are Energizer® EcoAdvanced™ Batteries AA‘s because so many of the toys and technology gifts require this size. The video game controllers really use a lot of them! The drone controller does too, plus the robot toys. We are a house hold of geeks and so our toys tend to blink and beep maybe a bit more than some other homes but lets face it, it is so very disappointing on Christmas morning to get a toy and not be able to play with it because someone forgot the batteries. That will not be us this year and if you are reading this reminder then it will not be your home either! I didn’t forget the Energizer® EcoAdvanced™ Batteries AAA in case you are wondering. I am always surprised when these are needed instead of the AA’s but it is more and more common.

Don’t Forget the Batteries!

To help make sure I am organized and to help all my readers who feel like they need some organization when it comes to gifting I created this free printable. You just click on it to get the full size image to come up, then right click to save the image to your download file or in my case I save just about everything I am using right then to my desktop, and then open it from the saved location and print to the full 8.5 x 11 inch standard paper size. It should come out beautifully!

Add the name of the person on the first line on the left hand side, then the gift you have gotten them or plan to get them and then check the boxes next to the gift to indicate you have purchased it, made sure you have batteries if the item needs them, and then check the box when you have wrapped the item!

Organize Gift List Printable

Remember if there is Santa in your little ones world to keep this list safely hidden away so little eyes do not find it! Hiding my lists is just as important as hiding the gifts around here. One of the added benefits of having a printed list is that my husband can also keep track and add to it and check things off, it helps us work better as a team. He tends to make this whole database program for gifting that includes tracking online purchases but this is a lot simpler and still effective.

Being stocked up has me feeling a lot more confident about things going smoothly this Holiday Season. Perhaps now it will not be a mad rush the night before to get gifts all wrapped as I will be ahead of the game. I love that the batteries I now have stocked are from a brand that really cares about trying to be more sustainable. By 2025 they plan to have all their batteries be made with at least 40 percent recycled batteries. Not many people know that you can’t just trash batteries but that they need to be taken to a reclamation center. The more people who do this, the more material there will be for companies to use to put into recycled batteries. I like adding a bit more “green” and eco-friendly choices to our holidays like this.

Now that I have shared how I am getting ready and organized and stocked up for the holidays, tell me how Energizer® EcoAdvanced™ Batteries would help power your holiday!

Thank you so much for the invite Kylie, I added my link and your button to my sidebar! Happy Holidays!

  1. Love the list! and YES batteries are important! I still can’t believe that some toys come without them, but I now check the packaging BEFORE I leave the store to see what I’ll need. Oh the disappointment on a child’s face when they realize their new toy won’t work and needs batteries!

I just stocked up on batteries on Black Friday and now I wish I hadn’t because they are just a no frills brand and they just don’t last. I will check these out once I get through those. I love holographic wrapping paper it reminds me of nail polish.

My mom taught me this! Always give batteries with a gift that requires them. Especially for Christmas.
