Tonight was our 8 year olds turn to unwrap the book gift from the bed time elf.
The book is: Papa Please Get The Moon For Me By Erik Carle
A little bit ago the kids and I and a friend for a homeschool art project did some beautiful art inspired by this book that we had seen on a teachers page. We did things a bit backwards doing the art before reading the book but it was worth it. The kids where so entranced by the story as they felt they lived a bit of it themselves already. The story is about a little girl who loves the moon and wants to play with it. To her it looked so close! Her Papa went on an adventure to get it for her.

Mr. Handsome was very impressed with the very long ladder the Dad made to try to reach the moon.
Storm Baby Loved when the little girl finally got the moon and got to play with it!
This book is wonderful art inspiration, a delightful story, and a great science topic too. It is has fold out pages and a story line perfect for bed time and sweet dreams. We really like it!
