Fantastic Fall Books for your Kids to curl up with!

One of the most wonderful and relaxing things to do in fall is to curl up with a fantastic book! Ok, so I think all seasons are the perfect time to curl up with a good book. However sitting in a big comfy chair, sipping warm spiced cider, and reading with little ones is a special kind of perfection. For us homeschool Mom’s sometimes on a beautiful fall day it is wonderful to rake the leaves let your kids jump in them blissfully, and then give them a basket of books to pick one from to settle into the leaves and read for a bit. It is simple and yet the memories will last a lifetime!

I wanted to bring you a list of some new and old books for your kids to enjoy this fall. The age range for these is wide given that many of us have kids at different levels. Some are beautiful and basic about fall, other are deep and mysterious, and others are classics! Some of these books have links with great reviews of fall books, other just go to the places I like to purchase them from and you can read reviews there of them. All books are secular as we are secular homeschoolers and thrive to be supportive of our small but growing community.

17 – Fall Books For Kids

1. Bears – Early Reader Level 1

In fall bears are very busy trying to get all the nutrition the can before hibernation! Did you know there are 8 different kinds of bears? If your little one loves bears, they will be sure to love this book!

2. A Tale of Two Beasts

This is a book one of my homeschoolers specially loves. She is our little forest creature and like most children her age, things are facts, they simply are. From the tooth fairy to Santa. Like most young kids, they think their experience is the whole of a situation. As kids grow they see that things are not always as they seem and that there are 2 sides to every story. This book is great with helping kids understand that in a funny and deeper way.

3. Peek Inside a Fairy Tale Beauty and the Beast

This beautiful layered board book is perfect for toddlers and the story is a classic we know and love. This is a favorite in our home.

4. Too Many Questions

Like little ones, Mouse had many questions like “Do dogs Dream.” and to his surprise, he couldn’t find the answers from those around him, so he went on an adventure!

5. Waiting For Winter

This adorable fall and winter picture book is about a squirrel who hasn’t seen snow before! He wants his normally hibernating friends to see it too! But… I guess you will have to see what happens!
