22 chicks hatched and all are well! Though messy little things!

These wonderful chicks have helped the children learn about what is needed for a chick embrio to grow successfully, how they grow in eggs, that eggs of different colors can be healthy, that eggs from different breeds of chickens can hatch sooner than others but all around the same 21 days. They learned that hatching chicks is easier than hatching ducks like they have in years past. They learned about assisting chicks to hatch. They learned about chick care and how chick feed is medicated because of chicks immune systems. They learned about the natural diet of chickens. They learned about free range chickens and chicken predators, and then they went on to learn about different animals that hatch out of eggs.

I think even the baby learned a bit about chick care!

Over all it was a great experience and it could not have gone better!
