Don’t miss this year’s Great Homeschool Conventions! This year the SouthEast Homeschool Convention is in Greenville, SC – March 14 – 16, 2013, and the MidWest Homeschool Convention is in Cincinnati, OH – April 4 – 6, 2013.

Now is the time to register for a Great Homeschool Conventions!

Homeschoolers from around the country will be flocking to these events. With over 250 speaking sessions over the three days of each convention there is something for everyone, from new homeschooling parents to veteran homeschoolers. These sessions focus on encouraging, inspiring, instructing, and supporting homeschooling families. You can find the speaking schedule (under the schedule tab – www.southeasthomeschoolconvention.com and www.midwesthomeschoolconvention.com)

While many of the speakers and topics are faith based secular homeschoolers might find some great speakers and reasons to go to these conventions as well. I would be sure to check out, Homeschooling 101 by Cathy Duffy and Free College at your Fingertips!

Many curriculum companies will be speaking and this is a great chance to ask questions and get eyes on these systems before spending a lot of money on them. We all know that not every curriculum works for every child. Some curriculum requires parents to learn the system first and these conventions can be a step in helping with that.

Special Events include comedian, Tim Hawkins, performing on Saturday night at the SouthEast Homeschool Convention and Friday night at the MidWest Homeschool Convention.  Gianna Jessen will be speaking at both events as well. At the MidWest Homeschool Convention, attendees have the opportunity to spend “An Evening with Dr. Ron Paul.” Known as a strong proponent for homeschooling, Dr. Ron Paul will be our grand finale event.

You can go and enjoy hours of shopping! The huge exhibit hall promises a wealth of vendors for all who want a hands-on look at homeschool- related curriculum, materials, products, and services. An exhibitor list is available now at www.southeasthomeschoolconvention.com and www.midwesthomeschoolconvention.com. Click on the company name to view their website.

Let your children enjoy their own conference! Children’s Conferences International offers a dynamic VBS style children’s program for ages 5 -12. You can register your children for this optional children’s conference at www.childrensconferences.com. Children Conferences International is a separate organization and requires a separate registration. Remember if your a secular homeschool family this might not be the right option for your children!

There are volunteer opportunities for those who need help covering the costs of registration. You can find this option on the right of the main page! Or contact Sharon Hartmann, at greathomeschools@gmail.com to inquire about volunteer details, please email your name, email address, phone number, and the convention you will be attending.

The current Family Price for the South East Homeschool Convention is a very reasonable $50!
