DefenderPad Review and Giveaway

Why I need this product is really rather simple to understand. I live with my laptop. For the past 7 years or so I have been on and off my laptops, and even slept within 2 feet of them. Hello, my name is Kimberly and I am addicted to the internet. Joking aside, my laptop is like my second brain. I have gone through many of them, and have loved them all to one extent or another. I can’t picture life without them. However being an information junkie, I know there is a darkness I try hard not to think about. The health effects my passion for my laptop and internet might have on me. It isn’t hype, it isn’t made up, it is very much real.

What is the big deal? In the 1990’s it seemed like evidence was stacking up to show that EMFs, something our computers and other things give off caused cancer. However later studies showed mixed to week results. Now The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) has evaluated the scientific data and has classified ELF magnetic fields as being “possibly carcinogenic” to humans. This was one of the reasons I was not very happy that a power station was put up a stones throw from our door. Ok, so I can’t throw that far but it isn’t that far. They put up a large wall between it and our neighborhood, but there it is all the same. There had been reports of cancer clusters around such stations in the past but last I heard, the CDC has NEVER found a cause for a cancer cluster, almost as if saying there is no cause though clearly logic shows us in many cases there is, be it a chemical plant, power plant, bad water, ect. I do believe there is a danger to EMF’s.

If you’re a Crunchy Parent, this means chances are you are well informed and that like me you knew about the dangers of plastic long before it was popular and accepted knowledge. Chances are that you like me avoided BPA for years before the Government finally stepped up and started to protect our kids. You might also be a parent that has worried about cell phone use and cancer, even after time and again reading that it is not an issue. Seems now some might be catching on that it is an issue. This, is like that. It is my opinion that there are dangers to our health from the tech we choose to use.

DefenderPad didn’t teach me any of this, they have however given me a tool to help me sleep better while still keeping my beloved laptop close.

So what does DefendPad do? DefenderPad blocks heat from reaching the body, so you do not cook your lap. Yes, I have done so and yes my laptop had left my lap area a different color even for near a year. It was rather…. gross actually. It is not just for heat though, the DefenderPad blocks, redirects, and absorbs EMF, and other radiation so that our bodies are protected. It is light weight, takes up little room, and serves a need most of us wish we didn’t have. We do have a need for this product though, any of us who use a laptop, netbook, or tablet need something like this. I wish it came built-in, maybe some day it will. For now though, this is the solution and I am so glad to have one, and need another. Thank you DefenderPad for letting me review one and not letting my denial and avoidance of the topic continue to harm my health and the health of my family.
