Each evening of December the children get a new book to unwrap from the Bedtime Elf all the way up until Christmas!
No Yeti Yet By Mary Ann Fraser
One of the fun things about this book happened to be my children right away asking me what a Yeti is. They had heard a bit about them from cartoons like Backyardagains they informed me but they wanted my parental opinion on them. I led with them being modern mythology but that I was far from an expert on them. The book though cleared up most of it as it turns out. Just what is a Yeti?
My son loved this page showing how strong a Yeti is as it holds up a long covered in snow as two children cross a frozen stream and play in the snow. As an only brother he is very familiar with telling his younger sisters about things just as the older child in this story tells the younger all about what a Yeti is while on a Yeti hunt with their camera.
Our 5 year old loved the page with the blizzard blowing hard. You can still make out the children and the Yeti following them. One of the fun things about this book is trying to find the Yeti on each page!
Storm Baby who is 8 loved the ending the best, it made her giggle a lot and goodness I love her giggle. I don’t want to ruin the ending for anyone so let me just say this is an adorable picture book for children and wonderful for this winter season. Let your children’s imaginations run wild with this Yeti story and these fun exciting illustrations!
