Day 163

This is my oldest daughter.

Doesn’t she just shine?

Even with my poor photography skills she sparkles.

I ask the age old question. “How did she get so big?” It is as if I blinked and there before is standing this tall girl. She is smart and kind and funny. She cares about people, and animals and the planet. She tears up when we drive through N.Y.C. because of all the trash she sees, because she cares. She loves to create things and build things and rather be doing something than reading something or watching someone else do something. She has such a long list of things she wants to learn to do from martial arts, guitar, and cooking. Out of all the things she does though my favorite time is when we read together and cuddle. Sappy I know. It is however one of the things I know will not last for much longer.

I hope friends and family can share wisdom about having teenagers as I have a feeling I am going to need it, though like most things I am sure I will learn the most from my daughter. 🙂
