The following link to a great blog posting speaks to the topic better then I ever could. As I research, wait, and try and prepare for this new baby I am simply scared that breastfeeding will again be a battle as it has with each of my babies. Each baby though I learn more and more and I don’t wait to get help. The tears, the depression, the pain, are all worth it to me and to my babies to give them the best, the best that could well save their lives.
I will never understand why anyone that is well educated could say that formula is just as good as breast feeding, it is like saying a simple seat belt is just as safe for a baby as a car seat.

P.S. Again to all my formula feeding mom friends, I would not be friends with you if I did not believe your a wonderful mother, that you care, think, and try to do the best. Formula helped keep my babies alive, it was not best, but it was good enough. I am grateful it is available. I am grateful to those friends who can read about breastfeeding and not take things personally!
